Rosemary Kitt Pressly

May 10, 1935 — July 6, 2024

With great earthly sadness, but abundant spiritual joy, we announce the passing of the
Pressly family matriarch, RoseMary Kitts Pressly. She has passed from the earthly realm to
join her husband Jerry Stevens Pressly, and her parents, Hillard and Willie Rose Kitts.
RoseMary was married to Jerry Stevens Pressly for 55 years before his passing in 2011.
RoseMary was the loving mother of Barry (Elisha) Pressly of Suwanee, GA; Suzanne Pressly
Lytz of Knoxville; and Camille (Kelley) Pressly Pierce of Winston-Salem, NC. She was the
proud Gram of Claire (David) Pierce Hoots, Kaitlyn (André) Pierce Bernardi, Corbin Pierce,
Kenzie (Ryan) Pierce Dittmar, Tai Pressly, and Kitt Pressly. She was the very proud great
Gram of Ariana, Paxton, and Brielle Hoots; and Nicoló Bernardi.

Born in Knoxville, RoseMary graduated from Central High School and the University of
Tennessee with a master’s degree in Business Education. RoseMary taught high school at
Doyle, South, and South-Young, and ended her teaching career at Pellissippi State
Community College. RoseMary enjoyed lunch with friends and neighbors, reading, and was an avid crafter who
specialized in cross stitch and needlework. She always looked forward to the many
occasions and holidays to gather with family.

RoseMary was surrounded by close family for the last 16 months as she battled cancer.
With her indomitable will power, and the grace of God, she never let cancer hold her back.
At 89 years young, she gained her heavenly body. We are heartbroken to lose her here, but
take comfort that her earthly pain and struggles have ceased.
Her body will be cremated by Knoxville Cremation & Memorial Services. The Celebration of Life will be August 3, 2024 at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church from 2-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to National Kidney Foundation.
