Robert Tunnell

Robert Michael Tunnell, Sr., age 64, passed away on October 11, 2024. He was born in Winder, Ga to Jesse Robert Tunnell and Barbara Ida Tunnell on July 30, 1960. His parents both preceded him in death along with his younger sister Melissa Lynn Tunnell in 2019. His brother Ronald Jesse Tunnell still lives in Georgia with his wife Penny. Robert moved to Tennessee in 2013. He loved the beauty of the mountains and wildlife and always said he would move here one day. He loved the outdoors. He kept a manicured yard and loved planting trees and flowers. He enjoyed being outside doing anything from mowing to making something in his shed. He has 3 children who all live in Tennessee. Robert M. Tunnell, Jr., Annie Lorie Tunnell and Jessie W. Tunnell. He has one grandson, Eamon David Knapp. He was oh so proud of Eamon. He would often tell strangers about his grandson and show pictures. He told them he is so smart and the best little boy. He was very proud to be his "papa". He had a love for music and knew the words to most songs from the 70's and 80's. He had a very good sense of humor, finding humor in himself and his surroundings. He will leave behind many memories and people who loved him dearly. He loved to buy gifts for his children and grandson on holidays and birthdays, he would say I think they will love this and get it for them. His absence will be very hard, but memories of his love for his family will be remembered forever.
