Martha Jane Brenner, born on August 28, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the age of 82, surrounded by her loving family.
Martha was the daughter of Stephen Barr Miller, a chemist with Ford Motor Company, and Arminta Victoria Miller, a dedicated nurse. She pursued her passion for music and education, earning degrees in both from the University of Michigan.
A talented violinist, Martha shared her love for music with many, performing at such venues as the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Awards, and her career as a special education teacher spanned 35 years, during which time she worked tirelessly for students with autism, touching countless lives with her dedication and compassion.
Martha was also a proud member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Fox River Valley Chapter, through which she carried on the legacy of her grandmother, and all the mothers and grandmothers before her.
During her free time, she dedicated herself to the practice of yoga and enjoyed spending time with her many fur-babies throughout the years: Jack-O, Spike, Bouffee, Bailey, Maggi, and Wolfie.
Martha was a devoted wife to the late Captain Franz Albert Brenner, an Army Ranger and decorated Vietnam War veteran. She will be laid to rest alongside him at Arlington National Cemetery, honoring their enduring bond.
She is survived by her beloved children: daughters Samantha Carithers (William Carithers) and Cassandra Bain (Scott Bain), son Cameron Molchan (Julie Molchan), and their father, Dennis Molchan.
Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Juneau Molchan (Samantha Molchan), Fraser and Colin Bain, and Zoe and Olivia Carithers. Martha is also survived by her sister, Caryl Wolcott (Paul Wolcott) and her two nephews, Chris and Tim Wolcott.
Martha's life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.
