Johnnie Louise Hatcher

March 12, 1937 — February 20, 2023

Johnnie Louise Hatcher
"Nanny Toe Toe"
Was born on March 12, 1937 to Clyde Russell and Margaret Russell Hawkins.
She was a native of Madisonville, Tn.
Nanny was a lover of all things nature including fishing, camping, riding through the mountains and enjoying a picnic by the river. Her love for flowers is well known. She especially loved roses, four o'clocks, iris and would speak often of the cactus she was able to see while on the road traveling with her husband, "Red."This is where she developed her obsession for the desert in bloom. While sharing the stories of many different places that she was able to venture,New Mexico was her favorite. To stay busy on the road she would crochet, build puzzles, and work cross word puzzles. Over the years she became a master at building puzzles. At family gatherings she earned the name "Bocce Ball Queen." She was very competitive in her hobbies but nothing brought that competitiveness out like Tennessee football. Her dream came true when she was able to witness Tennessee beat Alabama. She was always humming tunes and listening to the radio. Her favorites were "Maggie May", "Walk The Line", "Mama Tried" and "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain." She was a devoted Christian. Sharing Bible stories and singing hymns is a memory that many of her grandkids recall some even having to write scriptures. Throughout many chapters of her life she cared for many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Whom she shared so many memories with. She took pride in the fact that she could provide a safe and loving environment.
