James Nelson Lund

James Lund, 72, passed away on January 14, 2024, after a long battle with dementia and cancer.
Jim was born on June 27, 1951, in Ludington, Michigan, to Louis and Virginia Lund. He served in the
National Guard from 1970 – 1976. He resided in Mason County Michigan and worked as a mechanic for
over 30 years before retiring to the road as a long-haul truck driver.

Jim is survived by daughters Kristy Lund and Kendra McHenry (Dan); grandchildren Katarina, Connor,
and Garrett; sister Karen Lund; brother Stephen Lund (Darlene); many nieces and nephews and life-long
friend Max Gable. Special thanks to Bill Parsons and Jeanne Parsons who looked after him for several
years.

Jim was a hardworking man who loved Elvis, Westerns, motorcycles, and learning karate in his free time.
He was devoted to his daughters and grandchildren and tried to make the best of things. He was a kind
and gentle man and will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
A celebration of life and burial service will be held at a future date in Michigan.
