We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Billie Austin Compton of Knoxville, TN. She went home to be with her lord and savior at age 90 on 10/29/2023.
Born March 19, 1933 to Hattie & Arnold Davidson of Thompkinsville, KY. She grew up in Fountain Run, KY.
Billie is survived by her younger brother Paul Davidson of Bowling Green, KY her sons Johnny Bunch and William Bunch both of Glasgow, KY her daughters Barbara Anderson of Knoxville, TN, Peggy Conners of Bowling Green, KY and Sally Stamm of Australia. Billie was surrounded by 11 Grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her Nieces Linda Morris and Patricia Chase of Glasgow, KY
Billie was a very loving woman with a tremendous heart. She was so appreciative of everything and everyone and it always showed. Billie spent most of her life has a devoted wife and Mother. Later she would work for many years at Beach Bend Amusement Park she also ventured into chicken farming with her sons or even cutting tobacco when it was in season.
Billie loved sharing stories about her life and experiences, reading western novels and working her puzzles. She loved to sew and made the most beautiful quilts and tiny furniture. Billie would watch her favorite shows such as Rawhide, Murder She Wrote and her many game shows.
Billie loved anything involving Native American culture and her favorite color was blue.
Billie wanted to be close to her mother and father in St. Petersburg, Fl so she was cremated so the family could honor her wishes. A Memorial Service in Knoxville TN will be held so that family from Kentucky can attend.
The Service will be held at the historic Gallaher Memorial Baptist Church
